CARPLONK

Frequently Asked Questions

CarPlonk for Business is designed for organizations—specifically college campuses and parking departments—looking to adopt CarPlonk’s permit and enforcement systems on their own site. We bring our complete solution to your institution, allowing you to issue and manage permits, enroll enforcement officers, and oversee ticketing all from one centralized dashboard.

To get started, simply reach out to us using our business email address and let us know you’d like to join CarPlonk for Business. Provide your basic information, and our team will review your request. Once approved, you’ll receive administrator‐level credentials so you can set up permits, enroll your enforcement officers, and begin managing tickets.

A business account grants you administrator access to:

  • Permit Management: Create long‐term permits, set expiration dates, and update permit details on the fly.
  • Enforcer Enrollment: Enroll your parking enforcement officers in seconds and assign them roles.
  • Ticket Management: Review pending tickets, issue or waive fines, and adjust fees based on driver appeals.
  • Real‐Time Reporting: Monitor permit status, ticketing activity, and enforcement logs from a single dashboard.
  • API Integration (Future): Although not currently available, we plan to support integrations with campus HR/accounting systems in a future update.
  • Priority Support (Future): At this time, we do not offer formal training or support packages, but we’re exploring ways to provide guided onboarding in the near future.

Permit validation is handled in real time: enrolled enforcement officers use their mobile devices to scan license plates. Our system immediately checks against the database to verify whether a plate has a valid permit. If a permit is not found or has expired, an enforcement officer can issue a ticket directly from the same interface. All of that activity is recorded in the central admin dashboard for easy review.

After you receive your administrator credentials, simply navigate to the “Enforcement” section in the admin portal. Enter each officer’s name and email address, and our system will generate a temporary password and send login instructions via email. Once enrolled, officers can log in on their phones to begin scanning and validating permits.

At present, CarPlonk logs all permit issuances and ticket transactions in your admin dashboard. While we don’t yet offer a dedicated expense‑ reporting module, administrators can export raw permit and ticket data for reconciliation. We plan to add more robust, built‑in expense reporting tools in future releases.

Currently, CarPlonk does not support direct integration with third‑party HR or accounting platforms. That feature is on our roadmap, and we hope to offer API‑based sync in a future update. For now, any exports must be performed manually.

Right now, we do not provide a formal training or onboarding package. However, our team is available via email to answer questions and help troubleshoot any issues. We’re exploring the possibility of offering guided walkthroughs or webinars later this year.

CarPlonk for Business is currently offered as a free service while we expand. There are no subscription fees or plans at this time—once you receive your administrative credentials, you can begin using the full feature set immediately. We’ll notify all customers well in advance if we introduce any pricing in the future.

Since CarPlonk for Business is presently free for all customers, there is no paid subscription to cancel or modify. If you ever need assistance disabling your administrator access or exporting your data, please contact us at the business email and we’ll help you immediately.

When a driver submits a challenge, the related ticket enters a “pending” state. Administrators can then review the driver’s submitted reason, and decide to approve the challenge (forgive the ticket), reject it (uphold the ticket), or reduce the fine amount. The status and any updated fine will appear immediately in the dashboard once you hit “Approve” or “Reject.”

Absolutely. We use industry‑standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. Only authorized administrators and enrolled enforcement officers can access your parking data. If you have any specific security or compliance questions, please let us know via our business email and we’ll be happy to provide more details.

If you have any other questions about CarPlonk for Business, or need assistance with onboarding, please email us at carplonkbusiness@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 1–2 business days.
